"I have never been one to be proud of my body. I have covered and hid it in shame for no reason. Until I found the beauty in it, during pregnancies. I didn’t get a single stretch mark with my first son, whom was stillborn at 37 weeks and 4 days gestation. I felt sad, as if my body didn’t prove I had just created and birthed something so beautiful and amazing. My second pregnancy I developed many stretch marks very fast and very prominently. I was in love with them from the minute they made their appearances on my skin. They show the strength in the female body, and how incredible it truly is. Many mothers find discomfort in their postpartum bodies or get put down for showing it off. But why? The female body is the most unappreciated thing. From creating a fetus in their womb to being able to nurture it up to delivery. Women are truly amazing. Don’t find any discomfort in the female body. Instead show it off and brag about the incredible thing it just did. I am a mother. I can create life. So, what can your body do?"
